Education is compulsory in the UAE under Federal Decree-Law No. 39 of 2022. Attending a learning centre does not by itself satisfy that obligation. Families are responsible for their own child’s enrolment status, and should confirm with the relevant authority, KHDA (Dubai), ADEK (Abu Dhabi) or SPEA (Sharjah), before reducing or ending school attendance.
