New here? Start with these five steps

Most families arrive with the same questions in the same order. This path takes them one at a time, and every step lands on a page with named sources or published prices rather than opinion.

The five steps

  1. Understand where the law stands

Start with what the rules actually say before planning anything else. Our guide gives the answer with every source named and dated.

  2. Choose a curriculum

British, American, Indian or IB: the choice shapes exams, university routes and what moving back home looks like.

  3. Decide the shape of the week

Many families mix home learning with an online school or with morning sessions at a learning centre. See what each looks like and what it costs.

  4. Compare online schools

How to weigh one online school against another: ages, curriculum, fees, and what each says about the UAE transfer certificate.

  5. Sort out friendships and meetups

The question every parent asks. Where home-educating families in Dubai actually meet, and how to plug in during your first month.

Looking for parent groups?

We are building a directory of parent communities, and we only list a group after checking that it is public, active, and happy to be listed. A directory that skips those checks would point strangers at private family group chats, so we would rather list slowly than list wrong.

If you run a group that welcomes home-educating families and want it listed, email hello@homeschoolinghub.co. In the meantime, the socialisation guide covers where families actually meet.
